Ghost in the Shell: Arise ganho trailer completo

Ghost in the Shell Arise é um novo anime da franquia Ghost in the Shell que será dividido em 4 partes de 50 minutos com estreia da primeira parte “Ghost Pain” no dia 22 de Junho de 2013 e em Blu-ray oficial no dia 26 de Julho.

Uma adaptação para manga Ghost in the Shell Arise Sleepless Eye (Nemuranai Me no Otoko) por Takumi Ōyama (desenho) e Jun’ichi Fujisaku (história) começou a ser lançada na Young Magazine no dia 13 de Março.

O escritor Tow Ubukata (Mardock Scramble) revelou que o anime será um preludio da série anime, seguindo Motoko quando ela era mais nova.

Ghost in the Shell (em japonês 攻殻機動隊, Kōkaku Kidōtai) é um mangá de influências cyberpunk, criado por Masamune Shirow. Rendeu uma continuação, intitulada Ghost in the Shell 2: Man/Machine Interface, que foi lançada em 2002.

Com o passar dos anos, o mangá foi adaptado em: três filmes anime - Ghost in the Shell, Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence, e Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Solid State Society; duas séries de televisão animadas - Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex e Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig. Todas essas incursões foram produzidas pela empresa Production I.G., assim como um jogo para PlayStation, um jogo para PlayStation 2 e outro para PlayStation Portable.
